Aryana Rollins [00:00:00]:
You have the map, but are you missing the ladder? That’s exactly what we’re talking about today on Mindful Manifesting. You’re listening to Aryana Rollins. Have you ever had all the right information, the roadmap, the tools, the knowledge, the strategy, but still found yourself stalling? Like something invisible keeps getting in the way, and it’s like not a lack of knowledge. That feeling is exactly what we’re going to be exploring today. But before we get started, if you’ve been listening for a while and you’re ready to dive in and learn more, I’ve got a free workshop I think you’ll really enjoy. It’s very practical, it’s hands-on. It’s April 18th, Saturday at 12 PM Central. I’ll give you the details at the end and how— and in the show notes how to sign up.
[00:00:56]:
But mark your calendar now. Okay, let’s talk about something that’s been on my mind. A few episodes ago— actually, I would think it was last one— we talked about Amazon Prime and Netflix and this instant gratification that it feeds in us, and how that is rewiring our brains in not a good way. That expectation of fast results, it’s one of the hidden traps that quietly undermines our progress on ambitious goals. It undermines our manifesting. And before that, we mapped out the 5 phases of manifesting success, the roadmap. It gave you a real framework and a genuine roadmap for how this process actually unfolds. And if you haven’t listened to those, it’s episode 180, 181, 182, 183, 184, 185.
[00:01:53]:
They’re really good, grounded. So I want to ask you something today. If you’ve been listening and you resonated with the— those episodes and understanding, oh, that’s where I’m at in manifesting, that’s the phase, and you have the roadmap, why does it still feel hard sometimes, like you’re missing something? And why do you feel like this desire to start over. Let me explain. So you hit a roadblock and then you start questioning yourself. Can you achieve it? Is it right for you? Is the timing right? Or maybe you should be working on something else, and you kind of go sideways, or maybe modify what you really want to make it more digestible, like more believable. And maybe you find that there’s a point where your momentum is building, you’re feeling good, and then suddenly it starts to dissolve. You don’t have that same fire in your belly like you used to. You can see it, you can almost feel it, but it’s not quite landing.
[00:03:11]:
You haven’t had that success, and it’s been going on for a while. Maybe a year, 2 years. And I’ve been sitting with this question a lot lately because it’s happened to me, and I really wanted to share what has worked and how we can feel some traction, make that progress, and really hold it in our heart that it’s still possible. Because I think a lot of us, and I include myself in this, have been working really hard but not seeing the results. And I wouldn’t say we’ve got a missing piece, but I will say the map isn’t enough. The vision of where you want to go is not enough. Here’s an analogy I keep coming back to. Imagine you want to climb to the top of a building.
[00:04:07]:
Someone gives you a beautiful detailed map. It shows you the building, it shows you how to enter it, it shows you the destination. You know, maybe there’s this gorgeous restaurant at the top of the building. It even shows you the exact path to get there, but the building has no stairs, no elevator, no ladder. You can study that map, you can understand it completely, you can feel inspired by where you’re going, but you still can’t get there. Not because the map is wrong, or where you’re going and the destination, your goal is wrong, but because the structure that gets you from one level to the next, the actual mechanism of ascent is missing. That’s what I see happening for so many high-achieving women and some men. They’re doing everything right.
[00:05:05]:
They have the knowledge, they have the strategy, they have the skill. They’ve got something really meaningful they’re working on, They even understand manifesting. They’ve also done the inner work, taken the programs, and read the books, but they’re missing the latter. Let me tell you a story that illustrates this perfectly. I worked with a man who had spent years educating himself on relationships. Years and years. He had watched endless hours of content on how to show up as a strong, grounded, confident man. He understood the principles.
[00:05:43]:
He could actually teach them. He often taught me, and he knew deeply, like, what it looks like to be a confident man and how to become one. He had genuinely done the inner work. He had, in every sense of the word, the map. He’d also joined a dating site. He was putting himself out there. He was doing what he was supposed to do to meet eligible women. And yet nothing was happening.
[00:06:11]:
And here’s the detail I want you to hold on to, because this is where the story gets extraordinary. The man was a certified millionaire. I know it, he’s a personal friend. Money was not an issue for him in any area of his life, and yet he had not been willing to pay for a membership on the dating site. He just kept on the free version for years, and on that free version, he could not see the women who had liked him or sent him messages. He didn’t think it mattered. He was on the site, right? He was doing the thing. He had the map, but he was missing the rung.
[00:06:49]:
When we did the work together and cleared the block that was making him dismiss that one small but essential step, he paid for the membership. And what he found when he logged in stopped him completely in his tracks. A wonderful woman very attractive, had been sending him messages for 6 months. 6 months of messages sitting in an inbox he didn’t know he had access to. And when he finally saw them, it was her last day on the platform. She had decided she was done. He sent her a message that moment. They went on a date.
[00:07:31]:
Fast forward, last year they got married and I attended their wedding. One missing rung, one small step his unconscious mind had decided wasn’t important, and his future wife had been waiting on the other side of it for 6 months. This is what I mean when I talk about the ladder. What the ladder actually is Now, I’m not going to go into the full picture today. That’s what’s coming. I do want you to have the proper space and time to really work with it, which is why we’re doing an hour-long workshop to dive in live. Okay, I’ll give you the details later on in the episode in the show notes. I will tell you this much: the ladder isn’t a strategy.
[00:08:22]:
It’s not another framework you’ve got to learn and layer on top of everything. It’s something really simple, and it’s the thing that makes your unconscious mind say yes instead of quietly, invisibly, persistently saying not yet, or that’s not possible, or not you. Think back to the Amazon Prime episode that I spoke about at the beginning of this episode for a moment. We talked about how our brains have been conditioned to expect fast results, immediate gratification, and how that wiring works against us when we’re building something meaningful over time. The ladder is the antidote to that, not by making you wait longer or push harder, but by giving you something your mind can genuinely commit to at this moment, at this step. So instead of white-knuckling your way toward a distant goal, the top of the ladder, you’re actually witnessing momentum, real progress, and gathering evidence that you’re someone who follows through. Because here’s the thing: even though you’re ambitious, you’re driven, successful, and accomplished, having that stop-start, stop-start reinventing what you’re working on or even the path to get there, it creates a pattern of ‘I’m someone who doesn’t follow through,’ and it can really discourage us. But you know you do follow through.
[00:10:01]:
You’ve got lots of evidence for it. Because here’s what I know after 20 years and working with over 1,000 students: the woman or the man who finally move forward, the ones who stop this start-over cycle, the ones who build the kind of momentum that doesn’t evaporate when life gets complicated— they’re not the ones who are pushing and using more willpower. They’re the ones who found the ladder. Something I want you to sit with this week, I invite you to— before the next episode, I want to leave you with one question. Not to answer out loud. Just allow it to percolate. Where in your life right now do you have the map but feel like you’re missing the structure to actually climb? Is it a financial goal? Is it a creative project like write a book, start a podcast? Is it a health goal like shedding weight that you’ve reset more times than you’d like to count? Or maybe a business vision. You want to get more clients, grow your revenue.
[00:11:12]:
You can see clearly what you want, but you can’t seem to get traction on it. It’s not moving forward consistently where you’ve got evidence that you’re going to get there. Whatever comes up for you as you let that percolate Hold it gently. Where in your life do you have the map but you feel like you’re missing the structure to actually climb? Hold it gently. Don’t judge it. Don’t try to reinvent your goal or objective. Please don’t fix it. Just notice it, because what’s coming next is going to be directly relevant to exactly that thing.
[00:11:55]:
I promise it is so good. Thank you so much for being here today and listening. This episode was a little different, a little bit more reflective. A little more of me thinking out loud with you, and I hope it landed. As we wrap up, I leave you with the words that I come back to again and again: as you confirm yourself, you chart your own path to success. That confirmation, that deep internal yes to what you want and who you are, is what the ladder helps you build one rung at a time. Now, that thing I mentioned at the top of the episode on April 18th, 12:00 PM Central, I’m hosting a free live workshop called The Ladder Method. It’s 60 minutes, it’s practical, it’s designed to give you a working experience of exactly what we’ve been talking about today.
[00:12:45]:
You’ll reconnect with a meaningful goal, understand why it may feel stuck, and leave from the workshop with a clear next step, next rung on the ladder for you. It’s free. The replay goes out to everyone who registers And it’s a really perfect step after listening to this web— this episode. If you’re leaning in, I invite you to be there. Go to mindfulachiever.com.
